I know everyone of you has this dream of making it big one day…so you can provide a better life for your family.

I know it is not easy, especially for those with family. The endless struggle one has to make ends meet, to pay the monthly bills, to think of how one can better care for our wives and children…

I never have the chance to ask him…but as I grow older, I feel I am beginning to understand how much load he has and you have…

* Start of Interview *

1. Please introduce your name, who you are, which country are you staying in and your area of IM expertise

I am KC from Singapore and is now running running an Internet Business Consultancy Firm to help individuals and companies to improve their online conversions.

My strength is in Search Engine Optimization and Landing Page Optimization. I am a certified Google Analytics Professional as well.

2. Share with us your first success in Internet Marketing and how did you do that

I stumbled upon my first success when I was trying to sell a brand new site without any traffic.

I build up the site using RSS feeds and integrate some monetization channels such as Google Adsense, Amazon and AzoogleAds and find that people are buying this type of web sites.

I later mass produce this type of sites and able to generate ROI as high as 2000% just by selling these websites without any traffic. I also wrote a book, ‘The Essential Guide For Forum Entrepreneurs‘ back in 2007 teaching people how I did this.

3. Share with us one obstacle which you have overcome and you have learnt a lot from it

The major obstacle that I have faced is the limit of the passive income that I was earning from a website a few years ago. I was earning about US$100 from a website derived from the Google Adsense and it just seems impossible for me to go beyond that earnings.

I wouldn’t dare to make any changes as I fear that the change will sabotage my existing passive income. This is a very wrong way of thinking and I finally got myself to do some changes after I read about other people’s success stories in the Adsense blog. I end up having an increased of 50% in income by enlarging the Adsense text ads box. Minor change, great results.

I learn something very important from this lesson here: We must keep testing.

4. Share with us one mindset tip you would like to share with others, especially those who find IM hard

I have been talking to many people who are new to Internet Marketing and many want to earn money without putting in any capital. This is possible but it takes a great deal of time and learning experiences. One mindset shift is that you need to put in some investment if you want to be successful faster.

For me, I have never learnt so much in such a short time if I did not spend thousands of dollars exploring (and failing) new online opportunities and attending seminars. If you are able to anchor that pain of failing, you will not repeat the same mistake again. However, if you do not put money into any thing in the first place, you will hardly feel any pain, hence, little learning experiences.

5. Share with us about the uniqueness of one of your products.

I am one of the first few Internet Marketers back in 2007 to dominate the niche, Forum Entrepreneurship. I teach people to package and sell products / services in the forums and earn a profit from there. The book is titled, ‘The Essential Guide For Forum Entrepreneurs’. The principals written in this book is still valid while you are reading this interview.

6. One project you are working on right now and you would like my readers to know

I am currently working on an online course program that will teach people to create profitable website based on what I am teaching now in my course (offline). This project will be launched near the end of year and students will be able to learn at their own pace from website creation (using powerful CMS like Joomla) to monetization of the Internet Business.

7. One last tip you want to share with my readers

I would like to share with everyone who is reading this interview that many Internet Marketers give up easily because they treat their Internet Business like a website or web page. In order to break through our current earning level or generate a buzz, we need to think of it as a business.

For example, if we think of just a website partnership, most probably what we do is send some requests for link / banner exchange. But if we think in terms of business collaboration, we will discuss how can we cross promote each other’s businesses instead of just doing link exchanges.

Going out and meet with other Business Owners often reap you unexpected rewards for your business growth.

Although I’m not a big fan of Twitter, I am almost forced to read about them every single day. Everywhere I go I can’t help but see a blog post or an article about Twitter. Most of these articles are about tools, strategies or more so lately is the monetization of Twitter. Not as a business trying to use Twitter to generate new customers, but the hot topic is discussing which business model Twitter will use in an attempt to turn a profit.

No one really knows the number of users Twitter actually has. The Wall Street Journal estimated users to be about 32.1 Million. Daily Blog Tips has what I believe to be more accurate numbers which they estimate at about 5 million people.

As far as financing, according to Crunchbase, Twitter has accumulated $55 million dollars in funding from several venture capital companies.

In regards to traffic and visitors going to Twitter, most sources can agree the unique visitors a month hover currently at about 20 million people. Here’s the Compete chart and breakdown.

Anyone with a sound mind can agree that Twitter has potential. The question is exactly how will they monetize this potential and turn it into actual profits. No one knows the answer to this although there is a lot of speculation from selling data to creating their own comparative shopping base. I have no idea how or what they would or even should do.

What I do want to point out is how they basically DOOMED their monetization right from the start. Yeah, I know those are strong words especially from someone who doesn’t even play in the startup world. Take a mome

Like I said, I’ve been reading about Twitter monetization for a long time just like you. Unlike Facebook or Myspace, Twitter has ruled out the standard web advertising model because they feel it’s too intrusive and will dampen the experience for their users. That’s fine and perfectly acceptable. You have to give them kudos for looking out for their users.

Even if they did institute a web based ad model I doubt it would work. This brings me to crux of this whole article.

You need to understand what a destination site is.

Facebook is a destination site.
Myspace is a destination site.
Bebo is a destination site.

Most social networks area a destination site. What do I mean? In order to use them you must actually go to the site to view your friends, groups, forums and any other interaction you want to make in the community.

Twitter is NOT a destination site.

Shortly after Twitter first started they opened up their system with an API which allowed developers to create applications which can interact with Twitter. The applications can get user data, post Tweets, follow or unfollow people and basically do everything and even a few more things than you can do on Twitter itself. This was great. It allowed users to communicate in a way which they chose. As a result, Twitter’s numbers have grown significantly.

In fact a whole underground business model has been created for companies to use Twitter’s data. Many companies are charging monthly fees for people to use their services and making a decent profite, yet Twitter gets nothing in return. Many would argue that Twitter could simply start charging these developers for access, but how many would pay? I’m not sure, but this is an idea which I have also come up with in thinking about this. It would only be fair.

Remember… YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO TO TWITTER TO USE TWITTER!

This openess, in my mind, has also put Twitter between a rock and a hard place. Because you don’t actually have to go to Twitter.com to use it, Twitter doesn’t have the views it needs to put in place a workable web based advertising campaign. Sure it would make money, but would it be enough to put them in profit? I don’t think so.

In order for Twitter to really break the profit barrier they are going to have to think outside the box.

Sure they could charge businesses for Premium features, but the number of businesses on Twitter are small in comparison to the users. The users are the bigger market. I believe this is the key for Twitter to become profitable.

In other words if they charged users additional fees for value added services this might be a profitable venture. Many Asian Social Networks charge for small items like custom avatars or Premium features and they are doing quite well. The difference though is that charging for these Premium features is acceptable in the Asian market. The US market is not so keen to being charged for these items and are under an umbrella of “entitlement” meaning they are OWED these features for FREE.

What will Twitter do? I’m not sure. They are certainly a group of talented people with an eye for innovation. All we can do is wait and see what happens next.

Over the past 18 months, I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to conduct an investigation of the online money making industry and discover exactly what sort of scams are out there, and what really cuts the mustard.

My journey started when a lady, Jane, came to me distraught that she had continually wasted her money buying products which turned out to over-promise and under-deliver. Instead of making the millions she had dreamed about, Jane instead ended up on the brink of bankruptcy.

Luckily, my career as an investigative journalist had given me exactly the right tools I needed to scrutinize the industry, and discover if there really was a way to make money online.

I have to say, the investigation was an eye-opener. There were countless people out there who were happily taking money (and big amounts of money) from poor, unsuspecting customers on the premise of having some wonderful system which would make them $100,000 every day! It’s a claim which seems so attractive to so many people, and it’s easy to see why people continually hand over their hard-earned cash on the promise of financial freedom.

Along the way, however, I also came across an elite group who were busily working away making great amounts of money online through systems they themselves had devised. This amazing group of people were actually telling the truth about their income, and putting their methods into place, I soon found that I too was making money!

But the real question is – how did I find this treasure amongst all the trash?

Well firstly, I went through a whole load of trash before I found the good stuff. Luckily for me, it wasn’t my own cash that was being eaten away on false guarantees.

I also spoke to a lot of people, and did a whole lot of research. Some products were instantly dismissed because there was no substantiated evidence about the money they were making. Some required a little more digging before I discovered that the ways they were making money weren’t the ways that they were describing in their guides.

I had a team of people trying out different systems, some had a little success, some none, and a very few had good success.

But what about you, how can you be sure that you’re not being scammed by one of these untrustworthy companies?

Well, firstly, I think it’s important to do some research. And if you don’t have the time or the resources, then listen to the advice of someone who has.

Secondly, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. I don’t know anyone who made one million in one hour, or even overnight, on the internet – so if someone is claiming that they will be able to do that for you – take it with a large grain of salt.

Thirdly, there are a few different ways that you can make money online and you need to decide what’s best for you. If you have a lot of time but no money, then there are great systems that can work for you. However, if you have money but not a lot of time, then there are better systems that you can use to maximise your online profits. It’s important to decide what you’re willing to commit in exchange for what you will get in return – decide this and you are over the first hump.

And lastly, choose a system by someone who is passionate about what they do. Someone who will take time to answer your questions and who genuinely has your best interests at heart.
